About Friends of the Earth Norwich

Who are we?

Friends of the Earth Norwich is a local community group which aims to make the county of Norfolk a greener place for us all to live.

Friends of the Earth is actually a nationwide body which has smaller local groups which administer and deal with local regional issues specific to the local community. Desipte this the local groups are still involved in National issues.

The group is funded directly by members of the community and relies on the work of volunteers who tirelessly give their time to fight for the environment of Norfolk.

We encourage people to stand up for their environment, as parents, as consumers, as shareholders and as voters.

FOE Norwich believe that in thinking and acting locally to work towards a sustainable environment.

 

What are our objectives?

1) To achieve policy change amongst decision makers

2) To persuade and empower the general public to adopt lifestyles which ensure a sustainable future

 


Where do we work?

Friends of the Earth Norwich, whilst based in Norwich, do not only work in Norwich. FOE Norwich actually works all around the Norfolk county on campaigns that affect small communities all over Norfolk.
